HEALTH REQUIREMENTS 

Please note:  
  • We need a copy of the following vet records for items listed #1 and #2 to confirm reservation. 
  • If you have a copy, please scan/send email to us at this address. Otherwise, your veterinarian's office should be willing to email them directly to us at pounceplayandstay@gmail.com.
  • Reservations are finalized when veterinary records are received or a vet appointment to satisfy requirements is made and a deposit is paid. 
  • If you have a vet appointment in place, just reply and let us know when to expect the records and we'll follow up with your deposit email and will keep your reservation scheduled.
  • Vaccines must be administered by veterinarians at least 1 week prior to stay at hotel.

1. We require proof of negative feline leukemia virus and feline immunodeficiency virus (FeLV/FIV), which is achieved with a blood test. 
  • This is required because we have a shared/community lounge space.
  • If your cat is vaccinated for FeLV, they most likely started with a 'negative' result. Once documentation is rec'd we can determine whether they need a more current result. 

2. We require that all cats staying with us at the hotel be up to date on their FVRCP and Rabies vaccination (or titer). 
  • This may be either a 3 year or 1 year vaccine.
  • We recommend asking your vet for adjuvant-free vaccine​s​ (ex/PureVax) to decrease the risk of adverse effects. 
  • Cats who do not have the rabies vaccine must present an exemption note from your veterinarian to be shared with us. We will then determine if the exception is acceptable for the Pounce environment. 

3. Cats need to be flea-free before staying at the hotel.
  • Please help us keep our hotel free of flea infestation and safe for all of our kitty guests. One flea can turn into hundreds!
  • All guests must be current on flea medication (which, topically, is given every 28-30 days)
  • If they have not been treated in last 30 days, you will need to do so prior to check in. In some cases, we can offer Advantage II flea treatment for a $30. charge. 
  • If you opt for us not to treat for fleas and we find a flea, we have to give administer a Capstar pill, which is $40. This will instantly kill the fleas that are currently on them.  ​                                                                               

4. All cats to be free from transmittable diseases, e.g., giardia, upper respiratory, ringworm or parasites

​5. One cat per carrier and carrier(s) is left at Pounce for duration of stay. 
  • Easy release collars are allowed. Please take harnesses off before drop-off.
